CAMP LIFE MINISTRY
Camp Life is a week-long camp program held throughout the summer for orphaned and vulnerable children in Zambia, Africa. Each summer over 700 American volunteers come to Zambia to spend one week leading a group of 10 Zambian children.
Opportunities to Volunteer at Camp Life!
Throughout the week, Americans spend time with their kids singing songs, playing games, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. At the end of the week, each child gets a new shirt and other special blessings. For many of them, this is the best week of their entire year. Consider coming for one of the seven weeks of camp for a trip that you will never forget.
Camp Life is held in Lusaka, the capitol city of Zambia, Africa. In this southern African country, there are 1 million orphans who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS or extreme poverty. We want to reach each one of these kids and tell them about the love of God.
Camp Life is held each summer for 7 weeks. Each week about 1,000 Zambian children and 100 American volunteers come to Camp Life. You can select an optional add on trip to Victoria Falls or to meet your sponsored child.
We would love for you to join other Americans who will attend Camp Life this year. We have a mix of families, single adults, and college students who attend every year. Our American volunteers range in age from 6 years old to over 70. It is very powerful to see people of all ages, setting aside their time to love a child who has absolutely nothing. You will enjoy an incredible trip that will change your life as much as it does for more than 7,000 orphans who attend camp.
You’re busy. Your family is busy, too. Caught up in the chaos of your daily lives, you are all going in different directions. You need to get your family back on the same page, but don’t know how. What if, for one week, you could all come together and discover a new purpose by creating a legacy that will last for generations?
TREE OF LIFE CHILDREN’S VILLAGE
The children at the Tree of Life Children’s Village come from the most severe backgrounds of poverty, abuse and neglect. Some are HIV positive, while others come from child-headed households. All children need healing, comfort and a fresh-start.
Dinner At The Tree Of Life Village
Each home provides space and amenities for 12 orphans with two Godly house moms serving as the “parents”. The money for each one of the houses was provided by individuals who wanted to build a house that would rescue orphaned children. They got together with friends and raised the money to build a house.
The Tree Of Life Village
Located just outside of the capital city of Lusaka, Zambia, Africa, the Tree of Life Children’s Village, is a 130 acre neighborhood of 62 homes housing over 750 orphan children.
Tree of Life Family Room
Each home has three bedrooms for the children with two sets of bunk beds each, a master bedroom for the moms, a kitchen, a family room, a dining room, and a front porch.
These are children who were taken from worst of the worst situations and now need full-time care assistance. If you are interested in sponsoring a child for the Tree of Life Village, please contact Family Legacy directly.
